Earlier this month I was able to get away from the heat of the coast and meet up with my wonderful girlfriend, Melanie (aka Melania) in Medellin.
It was a short but amazing weekend. Neither of us had been there before so it was all new to us. The city has everything you could ever want in a city. Great food, great public transport, friendly citizens and of course great beer.
We ate, drank, danced and walked all over the city.

Victor -- Great pix of Medellin. I gather from them that the word begins with an "M." ;-)
It's also nice to get this detailed news of some of your doings, struggling with often "unmotivated and uninspiring" teachers but making some headway on English familiarity. Loved the tale of the English song festival. Would be interested by more about cynicism with PC, CosteƱos... and goals. I hear some similar threads in Wykia's blog, but happily it's counterbalanced in her case by some heartwarminig local experiences with deaf or near-deaf Kenyan kids.
Sounds like you just need a better answer about church -- something that affirms the different places that you and hour host "tia" are coming from. In any case, we greatly look forward to seeing you back here one fine day!
